New Edition of the History of WVIS available

The West Virginia Institute for Spirituality is pleased to announce a new edition of The History of WVIS.  This book is now available for purchase and your reading pleasure.   Throughout the chapters, you will see our growth and progress from 2010-2019. As you review the second decade of WVIS history, first, join us in giving thanks for God’s Providential development of the Institute, second, for Christina St. Clair, who compiled, integrated, and creatively crafted a testimony to God’s faithfulness to the anawim.  Third, ponder the people blessed through participation, but more importantly, BLESS those who have given of their own gifts to bless others. “Behold, I am making all things new”.                                                                                                                   Revelation 21:5 Sister Ritamary Schulz, A.S.C.J, Associate Spiritual Director at The West Virginia Institute, has been reassigned to Hamden, Connecticut.  This change in ministry takes place August, 2020. The West Virginia Institute for Spirituality has been blessed with the gift of her presence and ministry.  Each month she travels to our southern satellite in Beckley, Bluefield and Princeton, West Virginia providing spiritual direction.  In addition, Sr. Ritamary serves as a faculty member in our Associate Spiritual Direction Training program, offers supervision to our Associate Spiritual Directors and Interns and provides Ignatian silent directed retreats.  Her love of God, her dedication and enthusiasm in the area of spirituality are reflected daily in all that she does.   As she is able, she will continue her ministry with WVIS.
