Lent Retreat 2022

The annual observance of Lent reminds us of our Christian call into ongoing conversion. Part of that conversion process invites us into contemplative union with God, an experience of parousia NOT as God coming at the end of the world but of God already present. It is WE who are invited to come into the presence of the Risen Jesus—present in our hearts and in our world.

Conversion and Contemplation:
Inviting the Parousia Into Everyday Life

This Lenten Retreat offered by WVIS Associate Spiritual Director Sr. Cheryl Clemons, OSU, Ph.D.. will explore the connection between conversion and contemplation; it will include time for prayer and reflection as well as opportunity for individual spiritual direction.

We will gather (via Zoom) on Friday evening, March 18th from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.*, and continue Saturday, March 19th from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.* *Please note these times are Eastern time

Your experience of these few hours will be enriched if you are able to create a “retreat space” that is, as much as possible, quiet and free of distractions.  Turn off the cell phone, be still – and give God a chance to gift you, and your family, during these Lenten days.
