Pray the Hebrew Names of God: Silent-Directed Retreat

“The greatest teacher is silence. To come out of interior silence and to practice its radiance, its love, its concern for others, its submission to God’s will, its trust in God – even in tragic situations – is the fruit of living from your inmost center, from the contemplative space within.”
~ Fr. Thomas Keating, O.C.S.O.

Does it make a difference what name you use to pray to God? The ancient world thought so. To know God’s name is to enjoy privileged access to God. By revealing the name, God was made assessable and vulnerable.

Using The Hebrew Names of God, you will be guided through a 3-day silent-directed retreat. During this retreat, you will spend time in silence, prayer, spiritual exercises, and daily meetings with a retreat director.

This will be a rich opportunity to come away and enter into silence to see the goodness of the Lord using the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. Praying the Hebrew Names of God, the retreat participant engages in meditation and contemplative prayer rooted in the Sacred Scriptures and the Ignatian Tradition.

As with all silent-directed retreats, the silence of your retreat provides an opportunity to still the mind, body, and heart and to listen deeply. It is an invitation to open your heart and  rest into what God wants to reveal in the silence.

This retreat is available either in person at the WVIS Retreat House or via Zoom and is scheduled directly with Associate Spiritual Director, P.J. Scarr. Donations are based on which option you choose.

Questions: If you have any questions or you would like to schedule your retreat please email P.J. Scarr at pjloehrscarr@gmail.com.
